What the add-ons store

Your OilPriceAPI key is stored in Apps Script document properties associated with the current spreadsheet. A local activation timestamp records whether that product has built a workbook. The key is never displayed after saving and is not written to cells, URLs, browser-side HTML, or diagnostics.

What is sent to OilPriceAPI

When you test a connection or build a workbook, the add-on sends your API key in an HTTPS Authorization header and sends only the reviewed market identifiers needed for that product. Requests also include a product/version header used for first-party activation, reliability, abuse prevention, entitlement, and support analysis.

We do not send spreadsheet contents, formulas, cell values, a spreadsheet identifier, your name, your email address, or your Google account identifier for analytics.

Google permissions

spreadsheets.currentonly creates and formats sheets only in the spreadsheet where you run the add-on.
script.external_request sends the requested market data call to api.oilpriceapi.com.
script.container.ui displays the menu, key sidebar, build action, and recovery messages.

The add-ons do not request broad Google Drive access and do not use Google's default email or profile identity scopes for product behavior.

Retention and deletion

Use “Delete stored key” in the sidebar to remove both the API key and the local activation marker from document properties. You can also delete the spreadsheet or uninstall the add-on. OilPriceAPI server logs follow the security and account-retention practices in our main privacy policy. Contact support to exercise applicable access or deletion rights.

Sharing and sale

We do not sell add-on data and do not use add-on activity for advertising or cross-site tracking. Google provides the Apps Script runtime, and OilPriceAPI provides the requested market-data service.
