United Arab Emirates Fuel Market

The UAE was the first GCC country to remove fuel subsidies in 2015. Prices are now linked to global crude prices and revised by a government committee every month. Despite being a major oil producer, UAE retail prices reflect market rates — typically among the highest in the GCC. Dubai and Abu Dhabi share the same national prices.

UAE deregulated fuel prices in 2015 and now sets prices monthly based on international market rates. ADNOC Special 95 and Super 98 are the two main petrol grades.
