EU gas storage levels
See how full the EU's underground gas storage is on the latest available gas day. Compare stored energy and daily flows with the filling level; these are separate measures, not gas prices.
EU aggregate filling level
72.98%
Source gas day:
AGSI+ normally publishes observations with a reporting lag; around 07:00 UK time, the newest available value may be two gas days old. The source gas day above is the date to use. Revisions can change earlier observations. A fresh page load does not imply a new gas day.
What the latest gas day contains
The measures below appear only when their source gas day matches the EU filling level. Missing or mismatched observations stay unavailable.
Gas in storage
826.45 TWh
Daily injection
289.39 GWh/day
Daily withdrawal
4,852.90 GWh/day
Country filling levels
Each displayed country value is from the same source gas day as the EU aggregate. The EU percentage is calculated from stored gas and working capacity; it is not an average of country percentages.
| Region | Filled |
|---|---|
| EU aggregate | 72.98% |
| Germany | 59.54% |
| Netherlands | 64.10% |
| France | 82.27% |
| Italy | 89.46% |
| Austria | 64.88% |

How to interpret gas storage levels
Filling level is the share of working gas capacity currently in storage. Inventory measures the energy held, while injections and withdrawals describe movement during a gas day. A high percentage alone cannot establish how long supply will last: demand, weather, imports, and deliverability also matter.
Storage is seasonal, so compare the same part of different years when assessing a trend. The API currently has a short observed history; do not assume that an older comparison is available. Storage is also distinct from the Dutch TTF gas price.
